Pawgram ("we", "us", "the app") helps dog owners discover pet-friendly places, record walks, and share moments with their pets. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. By using Pawgram you agree to this policy.
Account information. When you sign up we collect your email address and display name, and optionally a profile photo. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
Pet profiles. Details you add about your pets — name, breed, age, photos, and optional health records (vaccinations, vet visits, weight, medications).
Location data. With your permission, we use your device's precise location to show nearby pet-friendly places, centre the map, and record walk routes (distance, duration, path) while you are actively tracking a walk. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the map and walk features are limited without it.
Content you create. Photos, videos, captions, reviews, ratings, community posts, questions, and comments you choose to submit. Posts marked public are visible to other users; private posts are visible only to you.
Usage and diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics (aggregate usage such as screens viewed) and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports and device/OS information) to keep the app stable and improve it. These do not identify you personally beyond an anonymous identifier.
We do not sell your personal information.
Pawgram relies on the following providers, each with their own privacy policies:
Restaurant listings shown as "pet-friendly" are derived from the Hong Kong Food and Environmental Hygiene Department's official list of dog-permitted premises, enriched with public Google place information.
We share information only: with the third-party services above to operate the app; publicly, for content you choose to make public; and where required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the public.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in your profile; this removes your profile, pets, posts, reviews, and associated media from our systems. Some anonymised diagnostic data may be retained. You may also contact us to request deletion.
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), Firebase security rules, and app attestation (Firebase App Check) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Pawgram is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Depending on your region (e.g. GDPR, PDPO in Hong Kong), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent. Use in-app account deletion or contact us to exercise these rights.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
